Synopsis:
Hyun-min (Shin Hyun-jun) works for the police, reconstructing faces by examining and interpreting their skulls. His daughter undergoes a heart transplant, and as her condition deteriorates, he loses his interest in his job. Hyun-min suspects that his daughters illness after the operation is caused by the heart, although her doctor, Dr. Yoon, tell him that his daughter is experiencing only minor complications. Distraught, Hyun-min quits his job to care for his duaghter full time.
Meanwhile, the police are dealing with a series of bizarre murder cases, where the victim has had all their flesh dissolved away with acid, leaving only the bones behind. Sun-young (Song Yoon-ah) brings the skull of the fourth victim to Hyun-min, hoping that he'll be able to reconstruct the face. With the skull in their house, his daughter begins to experience visions of a distraught woman in a white robe. Hyun-min reconstructs the face of the victim, and it soon transpires that they all suffered from a (fictitious) affliction known as 'beta-allergy'.
Tests reveal that Hyun-min's daughter has the condition, meaning that she has received the heart of someone who did. Romance blossoms between Hynu-min and Sun-young, and as they investigate, they uncover an organ transplant conspiracy - the murder victims were killed for their body parts, and it becomes apparent that Dr. Yoon knows more than he's letting on.

As Ma is on the road to his dream, the gap between him and his soul-mate Song Ching (Melissa Ng Mei Heng) is growing wider and wider.

Review
Someone Special is unusual for a Korean romantic comedy. For one thing, male lead Jung Jae-Young is more homely than handsome, and is as initially charming as a half-dead dog. Furthermore, the film spits a massive tragedy at you in the first ten minutes. Usually it's the sad stuff that closes these deals, but director Jang Jin smacks you with a terminal disease right away—hardly a wise move when directing a fluffy romantic laffer. Furthermore, Someone Special is slow, full of leisurely, opaque voice-over, and the characters could probably solve all their issues if they just communicated once in a while. But surprisingly, the movie manages to entertain, interest, and even charm.

Dong Chi-Sung (Jung Jae-Young) is a love-obsessed, sad sack baseball player who's just been dumped by his longtime girlfriend. Luckily, he's going to be given a chance to pitch in an upcoming game, hopefully reinvigorating his baseball career and redeeming himself for a previous ninth inning gaffe that cost his team an important game. Unfortunately, he's also just been diagnosed with a terminal disease—a factoid which could take the wind out of anyone's sails, let alone an unnecessarily introspective and existential-minded fellow like Chi-Sung. It's enough to make a grown man cry, or mope for a good two hours.

I love this movie! OK, it's horrible, it's disgusting, watching it made

me sick...and saying that I experienced physical pain is not a lie.

There is no happiness in this film. Everyone is depressed and

everyone has difficult problems to deal with, and those problems

don't get solved, but rather get worse during the film. But this is

why I love it! A film that can give you such strong feelings, even if

the strong feelings are depression and pain, is a GOOD film!

Might be good to see this if you think YOU have problems.

Inspired by actual people and events, Barefoot Gi-Bong tells the uplifting story of a mentally challenged forty year-old living in the rural Korean village of Daraeng. Shin Hyun-Jun, last seen yucking it up in Marrying the Mafia 2, plays the happy-go-lucky title character, a grown man whose handicap results from brain damage he suffered as a child due to a high fever. Om Gi-Bong earns his nickname based on his lifelong penchant for running back-and-forth from his house to deliver food to his ailing mother, Mrs. Om (Kim Soo-Mi). Perpetually hunched over and nearly toothless, Mrs. Om has clearly seen better days. Still, she's a heck of a woman and loves her son dearly.
Gi-Bong loves to run, an interest that will soon pay dividends in ways he never expected. After accidentally taking home first prize in a local race, Gi-Bong finds himself training for the National Amateur Half Marathon. His sole intention for entering the race isn't fame and glory. Mr. Baek (Im Ha-Ryong), the head of the village, sees Gi-Bong's talent for running as an opportunity to strengthen his re-election campaign, so he offers his services as a coach. It seems that the other village chiefs he pals around with are boasting how their respective towns nurtured homegrown celebrities, and Mr. Baek is eager to have one of his own. Meanwhile, most of the villagers remain skeptical of Gi-Bong's chances, all save the girl working at the local photo shop (Kim Hyo-Jin, from Everybody Has Secrets), who gives Gi-Bong both the courage and the respect he deserves. Before too long, the villagers - and Mr. Baek himself --begin to experience a change of heart, but health problems may keep Gi-Bong out of the race. Our protagonist remains determined to achieve his goal, but will he even make it to the finish line?
Barefoot Gi-Bong is a nice little film, one that makes expert use of its rural location and the more cinematic aspects of the medium. Shin Hyun-Jun transforms himself into the mentally handicapped Gi-Bong, never once breaking character. Gi-Bong's propensity for mimicking the television weathermen and sportscasters proves rather amusing, as do the various comedic mishaps he gets involved with throughout the picture.
If there's one quibble to be made, it's that sometimes the behavior feels a bit exaggerated. Unlike Cho Seung-Woo's spot-on performance as an autistic man in Marathon, Shin's take on his character seems less reality-based. With his bad teeth and perpetually unkempt hair, the filmic Gi-Bong looks very different than the real-life and otherwise "normal-looking" Gi-Bong featured briefly in the film's opening scenes. Exaggerated or not, it's a fine performance all the same, as he capably handles both the humorous and more serious aspects of the role with a goofy, heartfelt charm that is hard to resist. It's a fantasy, and although we laugh at some of the situations Gi-Bong encounters, the laughter never seems to come at his expense - at least not in a cruel way.
The supporting players - Kim Soo-Mi, Im Ha-Ryeong, and Kim Hyo-Jin, as well as the rest of the cast - all do their part in making Barefoot Gi-Bong a solid piece of family friendly entertainment. Whatever its miscues, the filmmakers have their hearts in the right place. While the film admittedly suffers in comparison to the similarly themed Marathon, Kwon Soo-Kyeong's Barefoot Gi-Bong is still an expertly shot film about the importance of family, faith, and perseverance. How can you knock a film like that, especially when it does its job well?

Fugitive prisoner Scorpion (Meiko Kaji) is on the run, pursued by a relentless, vengeful, one-armed detective named Kondo (Mikio Narita). In an attempt to 'blend in' with society, she decides to shack up with Yuki (Yayoi Watanabe), a beautiful young prostitute who lives with her mentally handicapped brother, and get a job. However, when the local prostitution ring gives poor little Yuki a very hard time, our silent heroine decides to seek revenge, and, in doing so, reveals her whereabouts to the law.

Judging by IMDb's current rating (7.6 out of 10), and some glowing comments by trusted, prolific authors, I expected to have my socks blown clean off by Female Prisoner Scorpion: Beast Stable. Indeed, the first few minutes, in which protagonist Nami Matsushima hacks off Kondo's arm (which is handcuffed to her) and proceeds to leg it with the severed limb dangling from her wrist, did just that (I paused the DVD to pop them back on).

Unfortunately, however, the remainder of the film proved to be far less impressive, never matching the sheer audacity of the opening scene. Sure, director Shunya Ito comes close with some exploitative moments including incestuous sex between Yuki and her retarded brother, and a nasty, forced abortion, but, for the most part, Beast Stable is rather boring, being very slow in the telling and uneventful for long stretches.

Ceritanya simpel2 aja. Sangat cocok utk yg lagi nyari film yg menghibur (dari sisi komedi). Tentang 2 perusahaan kurir dokumen yg bersaing utk dapetin 1 calon klien yg sangat besar. Utk menentukan siapa yg berhak utk dapet klien itu, diadakan lomba siapa yg nganterin dokumen tercepat dia yg akan dapat kontrak kliennya. Uniknya, satu perusahaan pake motor utk nganter dokumen, yg satu lagi, perusahaan milik tokoh utama, pake sepeda!

Trick was a comedic Japanese television dorama and movie series (three seasons, two movies, and a feature-length special), as well as associated comic books and meta-fiction novels about a magician and a physicist who debunk fraudulent spiritualists. It stars Hiroshi Abe and Yukie Nakama and is shown on TV Asahi. It was created by Japanese director Yukihiko Tsutsumi.

Synopsis

Although 23-year-old Naoko Yamada (Yukie Nakama) considers herself a beautiful and talented magician, she is continuously fired and constantly hounded by her landlady for the rent being late. One day as she is searching through the newspaper for a new job, she comes across an ad of a physics professor, Jiro Ueda (Hiroshi Abe), a non-believer of all things magical, offering money to anyone who can prove to him that magic is real. Desperately needing the money, Naoko accepts the challenge, which is how she comes to meet Professor Ueda. Falling prey to her simple magic tricks, Ueda is impressed, and enlists the reluctant Naoko to help him uncover the tricks behind a local cult. Soon, they are debunking spiritualists. Eventually Ueda develops a reputation for solving supernatural cases, but his secret weapon is Yamada, who hates the work but needs the money.

Season one introduces the main characters, as well as a would-be suitor for Yamada (his plotline seems to have been abandoned though). The over-arching plot is that a true psychic killed Yamada's father, and that person may be Yamada herself. Fraudulent psychics include: Big Mother (cultist, clairvoyant), Miracle Mitsui (makes things disappear), Kurosaka Miyuki (the pantomime killer),Katsuragi Koushou (clairvoyant, health guru) and the residents of Kokumontou (a.k.a. Black Gate Island).

Synopsis
