I Give My First Love To You 2009

Boku no Hatsukoi, Kimi ni Sasugu, or I Give My First Love to You, is a manga turned film about two people named Takuma (Okada Masaki) and Mayu (Inoue Mao). They first meet at a hospital, where Takuma was staying at because of a heart condition. Mayu is the daughter of the cardiologist that treats him. During this time, they become closer and closer, and when they were 8, Takuma made a promise, that once they were 20, they would get married.

So, they became childhood sweethearts. But, during their high school years, Takuma starts distancing himself from Mayu, much to her dismay. He doesn’t want her to find out his secret, which was the fact that he didn’t know how long his heart would last after the age of 20.

But, what he doesn’t know is that she knows his secret as well.

Synopsis

Inspired by a well-known Finnish epic called The Kalevala, the story opens with a down-on-his luck hardware merchant who gets dumped by his girlfriend. She tries to dispose of his collection of Asian artifacts at an antique dealer, but this sets off a mythical series of events that turns the merchant into a warrior prince, fated to battle a demon in icy northern Finland, responsible for enslaving all of humankind. The prince is abetted and then ultimately betrayed by a two-faced female warrior who has captured his heart and thus carries his greatest weakness in her hands. The battle involves enchanted boxes, spectacular swordfights, and supernatural events that come together simultaneously in an isolated cabin on the outskirts of Helsinki and in the rural Chinese mountains.

Secret Sunday (2010) Thai Movie [Eng Hardsub]

Plot
According to his mother’s request, Nat, a young architect, unwillingly takes a journey to visit 9 different temples in order to clean up his bad karma. He is accompanied by Poon, his beautiful columnist girlfriend, and Sujitto, a young novice monk. All three characters have different purposes for taking this trip. But later they discover that they were put together for an unforeseeable reason. The karma of one person can effect the karma of others as well. Horrifying acts done in their previous lives reveal themselves as the journey goes by. The more they try to clean up Nat’s bad karma by making merit, the closer they get to them. This journey is going to change their faith forever. How is Nat going to clean up his own mess? Would Nat be forgiven? How can an act of making merit overcome relentless vengeance?

Synopsis
Rookie detective Jeong-Min (Kim Dong-Wuk) finds difficulties with his new job. His boss doesn’t like him, he has to secretly prepare for a public service exam, and the local residents are up in arms over a serial killer that the police can’t catch. A protest is then organized in front of the police station by the local residents. To Jeong-Min’s horror, his own mother leads the protest as she works as the general affairs manager for the women’s association. The residents are particularly peeved that the serial killer is causing the value of their homes to drop. Jeong-Min then decides that he will catch the serial killer once and for all.
